Hamza Safouane

I am interested in exploring debating ways of securing the chance of successful democratic transition in the MENA region as well as a better integration within the globalized world. One additional key issue that I hope to discuss during this conference, although it is not the main topic, is migration. I am writing my dissertation of this topic and exploring ways to political empower migrants, refugees and ayslum seekers beyond their usual position as victims of nation-states' restrictive migration policies or vectors of insecurity. This is a crucial issue that challenges notions of citizenship and global citizenship, human rights and justice. Finally, I hope to get to know scholars, professionals, civil society actors, businessmen, broaded my network and be visible as well.
