This conference matters to me, because I am interested in new approaches for identifying areas of convergance and developing recommendations for reconciling diverging interests among the major stakeholders in the region. I believe that building on the notion of interdependence and improving the framework for collaboration between the various sectors of society is key towards achieving economic prosperity, political stability and social cohesion within local communities and stregthening governance bodies at national and municipal level.
